AGE LIMIT
As on the prescribed closing date:
- UR/EWS: Maximum 35 years
- OBC: Maximum 38 years
- SC/ST: Maximum 40 years
- PwBD: Age relaxation up to 10 years, subject to the maximum age limit of 56 years.
Other age relaxations are applicable to eligible candidates as per Government/UPSC rules.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Essential Qualification:
- Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification:
- Diploma in Company Law; or
- Diploma in Labour Laws; or
- Diploma in Public Administration.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner will be responsible for functions including:
- Enforcement
- Recovery
- Accounts
- Administration
- Cash management
- Legal matters
- Pension-related work
- Computer-related functions
- Conducting inquiries
- Settlement of claims
- General administration
- Maintenance of Cash Book
- Reconciliation of Bank Statements
- Preparation/management of MIS returns and other statutory and administrative functions.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process includes:
1. Recruitment Test (RT)
2. Interview
The Recruitment Test will be:
- Objective type / Multiple Choice Questions
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Medium: English and Hindi
- Total Marks: 300
- Negative marking applicable – one-third mark assigned to the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Interview: 100 Marks
The prescribed weightage is:
- Recruitment Test: 75%
- Interview: 25%
The Recruitment Test for APFC is scheduled to be conducted on:
20 December 2026
The date of interview will be intimated separately to shortlisted candidates.

- Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements
- Developmental Issues and Present Trends in Indian Economy
- Governance and Constitution of India
- General Science and Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications
- Elementary Mathematics, Statistics and General Mental Ability
- Industrial Relations, Labour Codes and Social Security in India
- Principles of Accountancy, Auditing and Insurance
- Current Events of National and International Importance
