Engagement of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates Supreme Court of India

The Supreme Court of India invites online applications for the contractual engagement of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates for the term 2025-2026. This is an excellent opportunity for Law Graduates to gain hands-on experience in legal research and court proceedings.

Position Details:

  • Role: Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate (Contractual)
  • Duration: Short-term contract for 2025-2026
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹80,000/- (consolidated)

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law or an Integrated Degree in Law from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India for enrollment as an Advocate.
    • Final-year students of a Five-Year Integrated Law Course or the third year of a Three-Year Law Course are also eligible, subject to acquiring the degree before appointment.
  2. Skills Required:
    • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
    • Proficiency in using online legal research tools like SCC Online, Manupatra, Westlaw, etc.
  3. Age Limit:
    • Minimum: 20 years
    • Maximum: 32 years (as of 07.02.2025)

Selection Process:

The selection will be conducted in three phases:

  • Part I: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on legal knowledge and comprehension skills.
  • Part II: Subjective Written Examination.
  • Part III: Interview.

Examination Details:

  • Date: 09.03.2025
  • Mode: Online for MCQ and pen-paper for subjective examination.
  • Test Centers: Across 23 cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, etc.
